And I believe I&rsquo;m capable of doing that at the elections without necessarily making a coalition with other candidates.&rdquo;The interview made it plain that Tshisekedi is determined to run for the presidential election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:30px;padding-top:0px;padding-bottom:0px\" class=\"is-core-paragraph-block has-space-small-mb\">None of the local media seem to have picked up the story. In fact, the same day as the Reuters story ran, Radio Okapi ran a <a href=\"http:\/\/radiookapi.net\/actualite\/2011\/02\/06\/elections-2011-l%E2%80%99opposition-politique-milite-pour-une-candidature-unique-a-la-presidentielle\/\">story<\/a> on how the political opposition (including the UDPS) wanted to put forward a single candidate for the presidential election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:30px;padding-top:0px;padding-bottom:0px\" class=\"is-core-paragraph-block has-space-small-mb\">Vital Kamerhe recently <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jambonews.net\/en\/news\/20110125-congo-opposition-must-unify-against-kabila\/\">urged<\/a> the opposition to pick one sole candidate, but in private has also reportedly been suggesting that he is determined on running.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:30px;padding-top:0px;padding-bottom:0px\" class=\"is-core-paragraph-block has-space-small-mb\">In the absence of good polling data, it is difficult to know how each candidate would do in a presidential election.
