He has now responded to some of these criticisms in a somewhat heated interview with Radio Okapi (transcript <a href=\"http:\/\/www.7sur7.cd\/index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=article&amp;id=8113%3Adans-une-interview-a-radio-okapi--malu-malu-repond-je-ne-suis-pas-candidat-a-la-ceni&amp;catid=14%3Alavenir&amp;lang=fr\">here<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:30px;padding-top:0px;padding-bottom:0px\" class=\"is-core-paragraph-block has-space-small-mb\">In sum, he says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"is-core-list-block\" style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-bottom:0px\"><li>There is nothing in the constitution that says when local elections have to be held. This is true, although a calendar issued by the electoral commission several years ago has been revised numerous times now;<\/li><li>The new law on the electoral commission (CENI) says that its predecessor (CEI), led by Malu Malu, remains in power until CENI is named by the national assembly. (You can read the law <a href=\"http:\/\/aceproject.org\/ero-en\/regions\/africa\/CD\/rd.-congo-loi-organique-de-la-ceni\/view\">here<\/a>);<\/li><li>He will not be the head of the CENI.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:30px;padding-top:0px;padding-bottom:0px\" class=\"is-core-paragraph-block has-space-small-mb\">Merci, Monsieur l&rsquo;Abb&eacute;.
