A big name for my links to other articles of interest on the web.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"is-core-list-block\" style=\"margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-bottom:0px\"><li>Colette Braeckman, probably the best known foreign journalist in the Congo, posted an <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.lesoir.be\/colette-braeckman\/2010\/04\/10\/quelques-questions-sur-le-systeme-kabila\/\">article<\/a> on her blog called: &laquo;&nbsp;Some questions about the Systeme Kabila.&nbsp;&raquo; Braeckman is hard to predict &ndash; she has often be criticized for being too favorable to the various governments in the region, both Kinshasa and Kigali (quite a feat), and once even published an article that was very favorable towards Nkunda. But now she has come out with an article that is very critical of Kabila <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.lesoir.be\/colette-braeckman\/2010\/04\/10\/quelques-questions-sur-le-systeme-kabila\/\">here<\/a>.<\/li><li>The International Conference on the Great Lakes (ICGLR) finished a meeting last week on natural resources and conflict. I don&rsquo;t have the details, but they apparently agreed on a certification scheme for minerals. More <a href=\"http:\/\/radiookapi.net\/economie\/2010\/04\/15\/grands-lacs-la-certification-des-minerais-presque-acquise\/\">here<\/a>.<\/li><li>A good <a href=\"http:\/\/kigaliwire.com\/2010\/04\/14\/umuseso-and-umuvugizi-newspapers-hit-with-6-month-ban\/\">compilation<\/a> of views on press freedom in Rwanda, on the occasion of the banning of the two main Kinyarwanda newspapers.<\/li><li>A nice <a href=\"http:\/\/www.africanpoliticsgroup.org\/resources\/Africa%20Blogs.php\">list<\/a> of blogs on Africa, compiled by African Politics Conference Group (kudos to Texas in Africa). All the nicer because I&rsquo;m on it.<\/li><li>More <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ctv.ca\/servlet\/ArticleNews\/story\/CTVNews\/20100418\/Jean_Africa_100418\/20100418?hub=World\">indications<\/a> that a Canadian general might take over the lead of MONUC&rsquo;s military.
